TfL made an important policy decision when it decided to close outer London station car parks and, as such, the decision should have been subject to full public consultation. In fact they did not carry out any consultation. Here's our report.

TfL / Grainger / Connected Living London’s ‘community consultation’, led by Concilio Communications, was woefully inadequate. Save Cockfosters conducted a survey with one simple question ‘Do you feel that TfL has consulted with you effectively about the plans for Cockfosters station car parks?’ 96.6% of 522 people surveyed said TfL did not consult with them. We’ve seen TfL’s/Concilio’s rubbish ‘Statement of Community Involvement’ pertaining to the Arnos Grove Development and so in anticipation of the (equally rubbish, we presume) one for Cockfsoters, we’ve produced our own. Read our report here.

12 car parks, largely clustered in the suburbs of North West of London have been earmarked for development by TfL. None of the 12 EqIAs show any evidence that disabled people were specifically consulted with nor were any disability groups actively engaged with.
